Purpose:
To limit engine speed during the Trolling Mode operation.Value:
Avoids high speed loads on the transmission system during the Trolling Mode operation.Function:
During the Trolling Mode operation, the full range travel of the throttle lever will cause the engine speed to change from Low Idle engine speed to maximum programmable trolling speed.The Trolling Mode will only be activated by the Electronic Control Module (ECM) when engine speed is within 30 rpm of Low Idle speed. The Trolling Mode can also be activated when the engine is not running. The Trolling Mode is activated by providing a ground signal to the ECM through a customer supplied switch.Connecting the Trolling Mode
Connect (-) Battery through the Trolling Mode Switch to PIN6 of the ECM P14 connector.Trolling Mode Switch:
When the marine gear is in Trolling Mode the Trolling Mode Switch MUST automatically connect to (-) Battery to activate the Trolling Mode which will limit engine speed.Programming the Trolling Mode:
