Procedure to Flash Program the ECM
Connect the data link cable between the communication adapter and the electronic technician.
Connect the data link cable between the communication adapter and the diagnostic connector of the machine.
Turn the disconnect switch and the key start switch to the ON position.
Set the implement lockout to the LOCKED position.
Make sure that the transmission direction switch is in the neutral position.
Verify that the engine is not running.
Use WinFlash to load the software.Perform the Following Procedure Only if the Normal Flashing Process Fails.
Key OFF the machine.
Open the battery disconnect switch for a minimum of one minute.

Depress and hold the top four buttons on the display ("OK", "Back", "Return to operator menu", and "Return to main menu") while turning the key switch ON.Note: To perform Step 4, a second person is required.
While continuing to hold the four buttons in the depressed position, and with the key switch ON, close the battery disconnect switch.
The display will come up in boot loader mode.
Use Cat ET WinFlash to flash the appropriate application software for the display.
