Return Manifold System
The Return Manifold provides a common junction for the hydraulic oil prior to returning to the Hydraulic Oil Tank. The Return Manifold also routes the oil to the Hydraulic Oil Cooler (2) in order to keep the oil from getting too hot.

The cooling fan blows air across the oil cooler. The air cools the hydraulic oil. The cooling system is designed to maintain the hydraulic oil temperature at a temperature of approximately 50° 10°C (120° 20°F). The hydraulic oil then flows through hydraulic oil filter (3) and into the Return Manifold (16) .The bypass check valve of the oil cooler (34) is located in the Return Manifold (16). The bypass check valve prevents hydraulic oil from flowing to the hydraulic oil cooler when the machine is first started. The bypass check valve also prevents hydraulic oil from flowing to the hydraulic oil cooler if oil temperature is less than the minimum temperature specification. The bypass check valve opens when the oil pressure inside the cooler exceeds 172 kPa (25 psi). The hydraulic oil flows from the Return Manifold (16) and returns to the hydraulic tank (6) .The manual lowering valve for the lift arms (20) is mounted in line with the Return Manifold . The manual lowering valve (20) is an alternate method in order to lower the work tool. Refer to the machine Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU8407, "Equipment Lowering with Engine Stopped" for the correct procedure.In order to drain the hydraulic system, a plugged hose is provided in the belly guard of the machine. Locate the hose assembly and pull the hose assembly through the opening in the belly guard. Remove the plug in order to drain the hydraulic system. Hydraulic Quick Coupler
