FUSE 8S7548 - Caterpillar

1. Drain the coolant from the cooling system below the level of the lowest hose opening to the filter. If only the element assembly (2) is to be removed, the cooling system does not have to be drained. Close valves (1).2. Remove element assembly (2) with tool (A). 3. Disconnect coolant supply hose (4) and coolant return hose (3) from the base assembly.4. Remove the bolts and nuts to remove base assembly (5) from the bracket.Install Coolant Filter And Conditioner
1. Install base assembly (3) and the bolts and nuts to hold it to the bracket.2. Connect coolant supply hose (2) and coolant return hose (1) to the base assembly. 3. Install element assembly (5) per the instructions on the element assembly. If only the element assembly was removed, open valves (4) fully.4. Fill the system to the correct level with coolant.
