The downshift from gear 2 to gear 1 occurs only when the downshift switch is pressed and the machine and engine speed are low enough.Momentarily pressing the downshift switch signals the power train ECM to downshift the transmission by one gear. Pressing and holding the downshift switch signals the power train ECM to continue to downshift the transmission as the machine speed decreases. After the downshift switch is released, the power train ECM will wait for three seconds before resuming automatic shifting.
