TYPICAL EXAMPLE1. Remove top half of fan guards (1).
TYPICAL EXAMPLE2. Loosen tension on fan belts (3), then remove them from the pulley.3. Remove six fan bolts and carefully let the fan (2) be against the radiator core.
TYPICAL EXAMPLE4. Remove bolts (5) from fan drive then remove fan drive (4).5. Remove lower half of fan guards (6) if it is necessary to remove fan (2).Install Fan And Fan Drive
1. If the fan (2) was removed, put it carefully against the radiator core before the fan drive is installed.
TYPICAL EXAMPLE2. Install fan guards (3).3. Put fan drive (1) in position on the cylinder head and install the bolts that hold it. Make a replacement of the belts as a set only.
TYPICAL EXAMPLE4. Install fan belts (4). Make an adjustment to the belt tension with tool (A). Measure the belt nearest the radiator. Tighten new belts to a gauge indication of 120 5. Operate the engine at high idle for a minimum of 30 minutes. Make another adjustment to belt tension. The correct tension for used belts is a gauge indication of 90 10.5. Install fan (2) on fan drive with the six bolts that hold it.
