The rapid opening and closing of the 7N0208 Water Temperature Regulator, during certain operating conditions, could cause severe cooling system pressure pulses (that are seen as hammering of the upper hose and possibly the radiator) which could result in radiator damage. The new 4P0661 Water Temperature Regulator will reduce the pressure pulses. The new 4P0661 Water Temperature Regulator is a direct replacement of the 7N0208 Water Temperature Regulator.
