Connect harness (15) to the jumper harness created in Step 1. Connect harness (15) to pressure sensor (14) on the bottom of the accumulator. Connect harness (15) to gas pressure sensor (17) at the top of the accumulator. Refer to Illustrations 29 and 30.
Fill and verify that the fluid levels are at a safe level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU8249, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change" for the correct procedure.Configuring Secondary Steering
Perform the following procedure for configuring the secondary steering.For correct configuration and operation of the secondary steering make sure the software is up to date with the latest flash file for the transmission ECM.

Use Cat® ET to access the transmission ECM configuration menu.
Make sure steering configuration "Secondary Steering" status set to "Installed".
Once configured, check for correct operation of the secondary steering. Follow the steps below to check the configuration.
Run the machine at idle momentarily, allowing the accumulators to build the necessary pressure.
Shut down the machine with engine off but key to ON position. The master disconnect switch should still be in ON position.
Perform a steering command. If the command is successful, the rework is complete.
If the command is unsuccessful, troubleshoot the system to find the issue.
