Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install orifice (29) on spool (24). Tighten orifice (29) to a torque of 2.5 0.5 N m (22.1 4.4 lb in).
Install spring (28) and retainers (27) onto spool (24).
Install O-ring seal (30) and stop (31) in cage (26). Tighten stop (31) to a torque of 6 1 N m (53 9 lb in).

Position spring (25) and spool (24) in cage (26).
Position ball (23) in adapter (22). Install adapter (22) on cage (26). Tighten adapter (22) to a torque of 15 2 N m (11 2 lb ft).

Position spring (21) and retainer (18) on adapter (22). Use Tooling (A) to install retaining ring (20).
Lubricate O-ring seals (19) with the lubricant that is being sealed. Install O-ring seals (19).

Install cartridge assembly (17) in the original position that was noted during the disassembly procedure.
Repeat Step 1 through Step 8 for remaining cartridge assemblies (17).

Install screen assembly (16). Install the O-ring seals and plugs (15). Tighten plugs (15) to a torque of 28 4 N m (21 3 lb ft).
Install the O-ring seals and plugs (14). Tighten plugs (14) to a torque of 12 3 N m (106 27 lb in).
Illustration 7 g01058619Note: Plate (11A) must be installed in the same orientation that was noted during the disassembly procedure in order to correctly install coil assembly (12).
Position plate assembly (10) and install plug assembly (13).
Install plate (11A) in the original orientation that was noted during the disassembly procedure. Install remaining plates (11).
Install coil assembly (12) in the same location that was noted during the disassembly procedure.

Position lever assembly (9). Position bracket (7). Install bolts (6) and bolts (8). Tighten bolts (6) and bolts (8) to a torque of 20 3 N m (15 2 lb ft).

Position boot (5) and retainer (4). Install bolts (3).

Install electronic control group (2). Apply Tooling (B) on set screws (1). Install set screws (1). Tighten set screws (1) to a torque of 9 1 N m (80 9 lb in). End By:
Install the pilot control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Pilot Control Valve - Install".
