Top view of fuel injector (1) Injector serial numberWhen a 359-4060 Fuel Injector Gp is replaced, inspect the serial numbers of the remaining injectors. The serial numbers of the remaining injectors can be identified by inspecting the top of the fuel injector or by viewing the injector trim file in Caterpillar Electronic Technician (Cat® ET). The remaining injectors must be replaced at the same time, if the injector serial numbers are within the range of 6C001793971D to 6C002198297C. Refer to Illustration 1 for the serial number location.Note: The injector serial numbers are the same as the injector trim file name.Note: The part number for the injectors has not changed.Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR8167 for the removal, installation, and tightening procedures.Note: The 8S-9191 Bolt must also be replaced when the injectors are replaced.After repairs have been made, the engine oil and filters must be changed.
