Status Screens
A series of screens inform the operator about the current status of the system. The display returns to a status screen after an operation with the keypad is completed or after the "F4" key is pressed.
"F4" key - The "F4" key is an escape key. The "F4" key returns the display to the home screen. Pressing the "F4" key two times in a row will exit the setup mode.
Illustration 1 g01417158"AUTO-STOPPED" - Whenever the speed sensor does not provide a signal, the engine speed is set to 0. The control determines that the engine is stopped when the engine speed is below 300 rpm. The "AUTO-STOPPED" message is displayed. The fuel valve is moved to the position for starting of automatic control. In this case, the position is 350 steps.
Illustration 2 g01417166"Auto-Startup" - The control determines that the engine is running when the engine speed is greater than 300 RPM. The "Auto-Startup" message is displayed after the engine is started and before the NOX sensor power is turned on.
Illustration 3 g01417174Auto-NOx-Inact - The control has detected engine RPM that is equal to or greater than 1100 RPM. The control has detected inlet manifold air pressure that is equal to or greater than 75 kPa. The control has applied power to the NOX sensor. The control has a waiting period of 120 seconds after entering the inactive state. The control determines that the engine is still running in order to warm the exhaust system before activating the sensor. The inactive state indicates that the sensor has just been powered up or that the sensor is not active due to some operational problem.
Illustration 4 g01417185Auto-NOx-Heating - After a 120 second delay in the NOX inactive state, the NOX sensor enters the warm-up period. During the warm-up period, the sensor progressively steps up power to the heater element in order to ramp up the temperature of the sensing element. The time that is required for this process may vary as a function of ambient temperature, engine load, and the variation of components. The control has a diagnostic timer that permits the warm-up period to continue for as long as 1200 seconds before a diagnostic for the sensor will be displayed. There is an additional 60 second extension of the warm-up period in order to allow time for the sensor signal to settle.
Illustration 5 g01417190Auto 175 ppm - This message indicates that the NOX sensor is active. The NOX sensor is measuring the NOX emissions. When the engine is sufficiently loaded, the closed loop control system will be enabled. The fuel valve position will be adjusted by the closed loop control system in order to maintain the desired NOX ppm level.

Five typical displays for the manual mode
Manual mode - The screens of the manual mode are interpreted similarly to the "AUTO" screens. However, the position of the fuel valve remains fixed unless the operator uses the keypad to operate the motor.
