Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position.
Disconnect the control panel.

Install jumper harness (B) in location (D) .Note: Jumper harness (B) should be created by the service technician.The construction of jumper harness (B) is described below.
Jumper pin 1 to pin 2 on the harness side of the control panel.
Jumper wire C548-PK to pin 3 and jumper wire200-BK (GND) to pin 4 on the control panel.
Turn the engine start switch to the ON position. This will supply power to the control panel.The control panel will perform a self-diagnostic test. The control panel will then illuminate the display symbol for switch (15) (upper body).Note: After power is supplied to the control panel, and jumper harness (B) has been installed, the control panel will perform a self-diagnostics test. The display screen will flash ERR 128 for 15 seconds. The display symbol (upper body) will illuminate after 15 seconds.
Press the air outlet selection switch (upper body) (15) .The display will then show the next icon for the button to be pushed. Continue through the check of each button. If each button on the control panel successfully passes the check, the control panel is operating correctly. The control panel will then display "AC" for machines that have an air conditioning system. The control panel will display "H" for machines with heat only.
If the check of the control panel is not successful, replace the control panel.

Control panel for machines with automatic temperature control (heat only)Note: One difference exists between the two control panels. When the "snowflake" icon (17) illuminates for machines with heat only, pressing the On/Off switch for manual heat (16) will continue the test.
