Installation Procedure

Install evaporator coil (9).
Install two bolts (10).

Install nut (8) on the bottom of the tube on the evaporator coil.
Illustration 3 g00634220Note: Make sure that the temperature sensor is positioned correctly in the evaporator coil while you install the case assembly.
Position case assembly (5) on the evaporator coil and the heater core.
Install the washers and five bolts (6).
Install hose (7) and the hose clamp. Tighten the hose clamp to a torque of 4.5 .5 N m (40 4.4 lb in).

Illustration 5 g00515726Note: Make sure that the damper for the upper body is positioned correctly in the case assembly.
Install case assembly (1).
Install the washers and six bolts (2).
Connect two electrical connectors (3) to the two damper motor assemblies. Install wire tie-wrap (4). End By:
Install the heating and air conditioning unit. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Heating and Air Conditioning Unit - Install" in this manual.
