Use the 1U-7600 Puller Group to remove the seals.
Use the 5P-7318 Distorter Group in order to remove the wear sleeves.Install the front crankshaft seal and the rear crankshaft seal by using the following steps.
Clean the outer surface of the crankshaft with 6V-1541 Quick Cure Primer .
Crankshaft seals must be installed with the lip of the seal toward the inside of the engine. The correct seal must be installed on each end of the crankshaft.
Do not separate the seals from the sleeves. Install the seals as a unit on each end of the engine as shown with the correct tools.Note: No lubrication is needed to install wear sleeves and seals.Note: Refer to Special Instruction, SMHS8508 and Special Instruction, SMHS8008 for the necessary tools and the complete procedure for the installation of the front crankshaft seal and the rear crankshaft seal.
