Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the fan assembly. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.

Loosen the bolt and nut (2) .
Remove bolt (4) and the washer.
Position refrigerant compressor (1) toward the engine. Remove V-belt (3) .

Remove nuts (5) and the washers. Remove cover (6) .

Loosen the inside nut on rod (8). Position alternator (7) toward the engine. Remove V-belts (9) .Installation Procedure
Note: Adjust the tension on V-belts (9). Use the inside nut on rod (8) to adjust the tension on V-belts (9). Use a Kent Moore Company BT-33-97 gauge. The correct tension for a new V-belt is 534 22 N (120 5 lb). The correct tension for a used V-belt is 400 44 N (90 10 lb). A used V-belt has been active over 30 minutes at rated speed.Note: Adjust the tension on V-belt (3). Use a Kent Moore Company BT-33-97 gauge. Install V-belts (9). Position alternator (7) away from the engine. Tighten the inside nut on rod (8) .

Install cover (6). Install nuts (5) and the washers.

Install V-belt (3). Position refrigerant compressor (1) away from the engine.
Install bolt (4) and the washer.
Tighten the bolt and nut (2) .End By: Install the fan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
