The weight of the counterweight can range from 10.3 to 14 metric tons (22710 to 30860 lb). The removal and installation procedures for the counterweight should be performed on a level surface. Make sure the four valves that control the oil flow to the counterweight lift cylinders are open.1. Open the right rear access door to gain access to the counterweight control valve.2. Start the machine. Using counterweight control valve (1), simultaneously raise both counterweight lift cylinders (2) out of the counterweight as shown. Put slight lifting tension on the counterweight. 3. Install Tooling (A) as shown. Position the nylon strip on the 9U-7217 Sleeve [part of Tooling (A)] on the same side
