When reporting the repair, use "PI30411" as the Partnumber and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim DescriptionCode and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair isdone after failure, use "PI30411" as the Part Number, "7751" as the GroupNumber, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMSDescription Code. The information supplied in this serviceletter may not be valid after the termination date of this program. Donot perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the terminationdate without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.

Updating the 1883080 CCM module, changes 00& 01, to the latest software, change level -02
The CCM updating procedure does notuse the same equipment or programs as normally used for flashing softwarein other Caterpillar electronic controls. The following procedure mustbe followed as documented:Equipment Needed:
A computer (PC) with a Microsoft Windows basedoperating system. Tested operating systems are Windows 3.1, Windows 95,Windows NT 4.0, and Windows 2000.
A self extracting file 1883080.exe containingthe IO program (io.exe) and support files: io.cfg, io.prg, encrypt.tbl,key.prg, swpn.prg including a readme file and the new update software file,1883080.brn.
The new software file updating the CCM is 18830843.brn. This is not an engine flash file and is not
