Removal Procedure
Start By:
Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
Raise the engine hood. The electric starting motor is located on the right side of the machine.Note: Put identification marks on all wires for installation purposes.

(A) OFF position. (B) ON position.
Turn the secondary disconnect switch to the OFF position (A) .

Disconnect the electrical wires from the starting motor.

Remove three nuts (2) .
Remove the electric starting motor.

Remove ring (3) .Note: Place a index mark on the ring for installation purposes.Installation Procedure

Install ring (3) .Note: Ensure that the ring is installed according to the index mark that was made during the removal process.

Install the electric starting motor.
Install three nuts (2) .

Connect the electrical wires (1) to the electric starting motor.

(A) OFF position. (B) ON position.
Turn the secondary disconnect switch to the ON position (B) .
Close the engine hood.End By: Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
