Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual, "Hood - Remove and Install".
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
Climbing equipment may be required to access this service point. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Mounting and Dismounting" topic for safety information.

Remove sheet assembly (1) .

Loosen pipe clamp (2) on exhaust pipe.

Remove the washer and bolt (3) that fastens the drain tube for the muffler to the frame.

Remove four nuts (4) from u-bolts (5) which fasten muffler (6) to the muffler bracket.

Attach a suitable lifting device to muffler (6) and remove the muffler from the machine. The muffler weighs approximately 40 kg (89 lb).Installation Procedure

Attach a suitable lifting device to muffler (6) and position the muffler on the muffler bracket. The muffler weighs approximately 40 kg (89 lb).

Install u-bolts (5) and tighten four nuts (4) in order to secure the muffler to the muffler bracket.

Fasten the drain tube for the muffler to the frame with bolt (3) and the washer.

Tighten pipe clamp (2) on the exhaust pipe.
