Sudden movement or accidental starting of the machine can cause personal injury or death to persons on or near the machine.To prevent personal injury or death, perform the following:Park the machine on a smooth, level surface.Lower the work tool to the ground and engage the parking brake.Stop the engine and remove the key.Block the wheels and install the steering frame lock.

Introduction
This test determines if the solenoid valves are activating.Machine Setup
Park the machine on a smooth, level surface.
Lower the work tool to the ground.
Engage the parking brake.
Place chocks in front of the wheels and behind the wheels.Procedure
Create a jumper harness using a 2-pin deutsch connector and two 16 gauge wires, long enough to reach the battery. Pin number 1 in the connector is to be connected to the battery positive terminal. Pin number 2 in the connector is to be connected to the negative battery terminal.
Disconnect the transmission harness connector from the solenoid under test.
Briefly plug the jumper harness connector into the solenoid. A click or buzz should be felt or heard when the solenoid is energized.The solenoid coil should produce magnetism when energized. A common check for solenoid coil functionality is to use a lightweight magnetic object (such as a paper clip) to feel for magnetic attraction.
Remove the jumper connector from the solenoid.
Reconnect the transmission harness connector to the solenoid.Problem: The solenoid does not click or buzz when energized.
