The reference articles tell about the use of larger valve springs and new spacers. To make the new springs fit on earlier engines with 9N1107 Cylinder Heads, the spring seats must be machined to a larger diameter.
The 6V7028 Spring Seat Enlarger can be used to machine a larger spring seat diameter on 9N1107 Cylinder Heads in the above engines. The larger spring seat is necessary to install the larger diameter valve springs and spacers. The spring seat enlarger must be used with a 1/2" electric drill (500-700 rpm).
