The UPS provides the following tools to aid in troubleshooting the unit:
General alarms and messages that are related to specific events of the UPS are shown on the display.
Detailed status and fault messages that are associated with operation of the UPS can be accessed by using the UPS Tuner interface.Before the UPS is taken out of service, gather information from the following sources:
Status logs
Fault logs
Personalization
Measurements logs
Board Status logsGeneral Operation
Table 1 lists the possible causes or corrective actions for problems that are associated with the general operation of the UPS.

Load test batteries, check for open cell or shorted cell, and replace with new batteries.
Check the batteries for ground faults.    
"QF1" battery circuit breaker will not close     Check 24 VDC on DALIN at XMB07 to TB5 pin 1 and pin 3.
Replace DALIN.
If problem persists, replace ALIN PCA.
Check that the UV coil is not open.
Check that the "Breaker Magnetic trip" setting is set on "Maximum".    
Battery temperature fault     Check the ambient temperature of the UPS room.
Verify that the cooling fans are operational.
Check connection XMD3 on the CHAN PCA.
Check wiring from the ATIZ to the CHAN PCA.
Faulty AITZ    
No display, UPS is inoperable     Faulty ALIN PCA

Check that the contrast is set correctly.
Check for a loose ribbon cable or a loose control harness.
