Ensure sufficient isolation of power, control, and communication cables. Run the communication cables separately from the power cables. Reinforce the insulation of the control and communication cables if any risk of contact with the power cables exists. Running the cables together may cause unintentional contact with live power cables resulting in serious personal injury or death.

Protective coverA cover is supplied with the parallel connected UPS systems. The cover protects the user against direct contact with voltages other than SELVs (Safety Extra Low Voltage). (10) Exchange-current Interconnections (12) CAN Interconnections
Link together the "XMS02" and "XMS03" exchange-current interconnections (10) on the two UPS systems.
Install a blue plug to the "XMS06" CAN connector (12a) on UPS 1.
Link connector "XMS07" on UPS 1 to connector "XMS06" on UPS 2.
Install a red plug on connector "XMS07" (12b) on UPS 2.Note: The 10 m (33 ft) cables that are supplied limit the distance between the two UPS systems to approximately 6 m (20 ft).Parallel Configuration for Increased Capacity with a Maximum of Four UPS Systems

Interconnections with the external bypass cabinet
Interconnect terminals "1", "3" and "5" on the auxiliary terminal block in the cabinet.
Create a loop between the cabinet and the UPS Systems for terminals "1", "2", "4" and "6" on the auxiliary terminal block in the cabinet.Note: The order for the "XMS04" and "XMS05" connectors in each UPS system, from right to left, is common, "Q3BP", "Q4S" and "Q5N".Note: The interconnection cables for connecting the external bypass cabinet are not supplied. The maximum size for these cables is 2.5 mm2.

Using the "XMS02" and "XMS03" exchange-current connectors (10), create a loop between the UPS systems. All of the "XMS02" and "XMS03" connectors must be used.
Install a blue plug to connector "XM06" (12a) of the UPS 1.
Install a red plug to connector "XM07" (12b) of the last UPS in the system.
Connect the UPS system in series to each other by connecting the remaining "XMS06" and "XMS07" CAN connectors (12) .Note: The cables that are supplied are 10 m (33 ft).
