GASKET 2801430 - Caterpillar

Tooling (A) is used to lift the front of the machine for removal of the front tires and rims. Tooling (B) is used to lift the rear of the machine for the removal of the rear tires and rims. The removal of the rear tires and rims is shown. 1. Install tooling (B) as shown and lift the rear wheels off the ground. Put blocks under the rear axle housing to help hold the machine up. 2. Remove nuts (1) that hold the rim. 3. Fasten slings around the tires and attach a hoist. Be sure the slings pass through the notches in the tires. The weight of the tire and rim is 1361 kg (3000 lb).4. Lift the tire and rim off the studs and remove the tire and rim. Fasten the tire and rim to a stationary support to prevent the tire and rim from moving.Install Tires & Rims
1. Fasten slings around tire (1) and attach a hoist. Be sure the slings pass through the notches in the tires. The weight of the tire and rim is 1361 kg (3000 lb).2. Lift the tire and rim on to the studs. 3. Install nuts and washers (2) and tighten to a torque of 570 80 N m (420 60 lb ft). 4. Remove the wood blocks and lower tooling (B) and allow the machine to rest on the ground. Remove tooling (B).
