ACTION REQUIRED
Make the necessary modifications to the 247-5766 or 247-5767 Cover, depending on the machine, and replace the 249-1796 Striker Assembly with the new 360-9597 Striker Assembly. Refer to the following Rework Procedure.

Rework Procedure
Modify the 247-5766 Cover using the dimensions in Image 1.1.1.

Modify the 247-5767 Cover using the dimensions in Image 1.2.1.

Striker Adjustment Procedure:
1. Close the door. Locate the striker in the cab so the striker is centered vertically in the latch jaws and engages the jaws smoothly. Ensure that the striker does not guide the door upward or downward.
2. Check for interference between the striker head and jaws or the latch case. Re-adjust the striker if required.
3. Check for both secondary and primary latch position. The primary latched position is when the door is fully closed and fully latched. The secondary latch position is when the door is latched but the jaws are not in the primary latch position. If the primary closed position is not achieved due to high seal pressure or striker position, loosen the striker on the door post and adjust the striker. Re-torque as specified.
Note: Hinge adjustment may also be required in order to achieve primary position or correct door seal pressure. Be careful to not improperly adjust the door such that the door fully closes against the seal with the latch in the secondary position. Excessive seal pressure will result in high opening efforts.
