Removal Procedure
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
Turn the power disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Remove all mounting hardware (1).
Disconnect B+ terminal (2) and ground terminal (3) and position out of the way.

Remove 13 bolts (4) and plates (5).

Use a suitable wrench to remove belt (6).

Remove two bolts (7) and belt tensioner support (8).

Remove two mounting bolts (9) and alternator (10). Alternator (10) weighs approximately 21 kg (46 lb).

Remove pulley nut (11) and pulley (12).Installation Procedure
Install alternator (10) in the reverse order of removal.
Pulley (12) must be installed by hand. Pulley (12) can be damaged if a hammer or similar tool is used.
Tighten pulley nut (11) to a torque of 135 5 N m (100 4 lb ft).Note: Using an impact wrench may damage alternator (10).Note: Hold alternator (10) shaft by using the allen socket hole.
Tighten mounting bolts (9) and (7) to a torque of 65 4 N m (48 3 lb ft).
Tighten ground terminal (3) to a torque of 11 1 N m (96 9 lb in).
Tighten B+ terminal (2) to a torque of 15 1 N m (133 9 lb in).
