Information:
Do this procedure any time the hydraulic system has been completely drained. This procedure is necessary to prevent damage to the hydraulic pump.1. Fill the hydraulic tank to the top of the fill screen with clean S.A.E. 10 oil.2. Use fittings from tooling (A) to connect an air regulator and valve to the test fitting on the hydraulic tank. Connect a hose and needle valve from tooling (A) to the test fitting on the hydraulic pump outlet line.
Do not use any more than 105 kPa (15 psi) of air pressure in the hydraulic tank. Do not disconnect any of the quick disconnect fittings until all pressure on them is released.
3. Move the tilt control lever to the full rackback position. Put 50-105 kPa (7-15 psi) of air pressure in the hydraulic tank. Open the needle valve to let oil drain out of the hose on the pump outlet line until it is free of air bubbles. Close the needle valve.4. Move the tilt control lever to the neutral position.5. Close the valve on the air regulator. Use the needle valve on the hose connected to the pump outlet line to release all the pressure in the system. When all the pressure is released, close the needle valve, and disconnect the hose from the test fitting on the pump outlet line and the air regulator from the test fitting on the tank.6. Fill the hydraulic tank again to the top of the fill screen.7. Connect the air regulator and valve to the test fitting on the tank again. Put 50-105 kPa (7-15 psi) of air pressure in the hydraulic tank.8. Turn the engine at 10 second intervals.9. Add oil as needed to keep at add mark or above. Always close the valve on the air regulator, and slowly loosen the cap on the hydraulic tank to release all the pressure in the tank when oil is added.10. Turn the engine at 10 second intervals until the oil level in the hydraulic tank does not change a large amount.11. Close the valve on the air regulator, and slowly loosen the cap on the hydraulic tank to release all the pressure in the tank. Remove the air regulator and valve from the test fitting on the hydraulic tank.12. Start the engine. Let the engine RPM come up for a short period of time (briefly); then move the governor control lever to 1/4setting.13. Keep oil level in hydraulic tank at or above the add mark on the oil gauge at all times.14. Move
