Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Inspect the O-ring seals, the seals, and the gaskets. Replace the O-ring seals, the seals, and the gaskets that are worn or damaged.Note: Lubricate O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Install O-ring seal (25).

Install gear pump (24). Install bolts (23). Tighten bolts (23) to a torque of 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).

Install housing (22) and install bolts (21). Tighten bolts (21) to a torque of 55 10 N m (40 7 lb ft). Install tube assembly (20) and tube assembly (19). Note: Tighten tube assembly (20) to a torque of 42 2 N m (31 2 lb ft). Tighten tube assembly (19) to a torque of 172.5 7.5 N m (127 6 lb ft).

Install seal (18), O-ring seal (17), and O-ring seals (16).

Install oil pan (14). Install bolts (13) and bolts (12). Tighten bolts (13) to a torque of 28 7 N m (21 5 lb ft).
Tighten two of bolts (12) that are marked with an X to a torque of 28 7 N m (21 5 lb ft).
Tighten the remaining bolts (12) to a torque of 55 10 N m (41 8 lb ft).
Connect harness assemblies (15).

Install guard (11). Install bolts (10). Install bolts (10) to a torque of 28 7 N m (21 5 lb ft).

Install screen (9) and magnetic filter (8).

Install O-ring seal (7).

Install cover (6) and bolts (5). Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 28 7 N m (21 5 lb ft).

Install output shaft (4) and bearing assembly (3). Install retaining ring (2) and retaining ring (1). End By:
Connect the transmission onto the engine. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine, Torque Converter, and Transmission - Connect".
