Group 1 Rework Procedure:
On seats fitted with the single lap belt. Remove the existing seat bracket on the outside of the seat. This was fitted in the factory as an ICA to protect the seat Gentherm unit located in the back of the seat, from impact damage with the A/C cover. This bracket will not be reused. Refer to Image1.
Rework the bracket inside the seat with a new and improved 537-6007 Bracket Assembly. Refer to Image2.
1. Remove the rear seat cover. If you have difficulty removing the seat cover, with the seat installed, you may need to remove the seat from the machine.
Proceed with care as the seat cover may easily be damaged. It may require you to remove the heat cool and lumbar support switches to remove the cover.
2. The Gentherm bracket is bolted to the inside back of the seat.
Group 2 Rework Procedure:
Remove and replace the existing bracket with a new 537-6007 improved Bracket Assembly. If the existing Gentherm module is damaged, replace with a new 458-9909 Switch Kit. Refer to Image2.
1. Remove the rear seat cover. If you have difficulty removing the seat cover, with the seat installed, you may need to remove the seat from the machine.
Proceed with care as the seat cover may easily be damaged. It may require you to remove the heat cool and lumbar support switches to remove the cover.
2. The Gentherm module and bracket are bolted to the back of the seat.
- If the Gentherm module has failed, remove the module and replace it with a new 458-9909 Switch Kit and 537-6007 Bracket Assembly.
- If the Gentherm module has NOT failed, only replace the existing bracket assembly with a new 537-6007 Bracket Assembly.
