Remove the engine oil pump.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove bolts (2), locknut (1), and suction bell (3).

Remove idler gear (4).
Use Tooling (B) in order to remove the bearing from idler gear (4).
Remove bolt (7) and washer (6) from drive gear (5).
Use Tooling (A) in order to remove drive gear (5) from the shaft.

Remove bolts (16), bolt (12), cover (11), and O-ring seal (15) from pump body (8).
Remove shaft assembly (9) and shaft assembly (10) from pump body (8).
Remove bolt (14) and pressure relief valve (13).

Remove bearings (17) from cover (11).

Use Tooling (C) in order to remove bearings (18) from pump body (8).
