(20) Return passage Pump oil from the secondary pump is routed to the main control valve and flows to swing control valve (3). Swing control valve (3) is actuated by pilot oil pressure from pilot control valve (6).When pilot valve (joystick) (6) is moved left to the swing LEFT position, pilot oil flows to port (18) of control valve (3). The pilot oil shifts the spool of swing control valve (3).Secondary pump oil flows through parallel feeder passage (19) to control valve (3). The pump oil then flows to port (17). The supply oil flows to the head of swing motor (1). The supply oil rotates the motor and return oil in the head of swing motor (1) flows to port (16). The return oil then flows through control valve (3) to return passage (20) and then to hydraulic tank (14).This action causes the motor shaft to rotate clockwise (as viewed from the head of the motor). The clockwise rotation of the motor shaft causes the pinion gear on the motor shaft to rotate around the inner circumference of the swing bearing gear.
