In order to obtain dimension A, which can be found on Illustration 5, screw threaded rod (6) through lever assembly (7) by the thickness of nut (8) . Then screw threaded rod (6) through lever assembly (7) by an additional 3.0 1.0 mm (0.12 0.04 inches).
Thread nut (8) onto threaded rod (6) until you obtain dimension A. Dimension A equals 3.0 1.0 mm (0.12 0.04 inch).
Hold lever assembly (7) and nut (8) . Continue to install threaded rod (6) into casting (9) .Note: The end of threaded rod (6) should be flush with the opposite end of casting (9) . Dimension A must be maintained in order to lock threaded rod (6) against casting (9) .
Tighten nut (8) against casting (9) .

Compress spring (11) and retract pin (16) by moving lever assembly (7) . Install a spacer between pin (15) and guide (14) . The spacer should be equal to dimension (B) . Dimension (B) equals 7.00 mm (0.275 inch).
Release lever assembly (7) , and turn bolt (13) until spacer (10) contacts washers (12) .
Lock bolt (13) with nut (5) .
Remove the spacer that was installed in Step 5.Note: Apply 1U-8268 Dry Film Lubricant or a similar dry lubricant between guide (14) and pin (16) .
