Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the cooler bypass valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cooler Bypass Valve - Disassemble and Assemble".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Check the condition of all seals and of all components. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Remove valve (1) from cooler bypass valve (2) .
Remove the gasket from the body.Assembly Procedure
Note: Make sure that the body of the cooler bypass valve is clean and free of foreign material.

Install a new valve (1) in the body.
Install a new gasket in the body.
Tighten the valve to a torque of 90 7 N m (66 5 lb ft).End By: Install the cooler bypass valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cooler Bypass Valve - Disassemble and Assemble".
