Removal Procedure
Personal injury can result from hot coolant, steam and alkali.At operating temperature, engine coolant is hot and under pressure. The radiator and all lines to heaters or the engine contain hot coolant or steam. Any contact can cause severe burns.Remove cooling system pressure cap slowly to relieve pressure only when engine is stopped and cooling system pressure cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.Do not attempt to tighten hose connections when the coolant is hot, the hose can come off causing burns.Cooling System Coolant Additive contains alkali. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.
Turn the fuel supply to the OFF position.
Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedure.

Disconnect hose assembly (1) .

Disconnect hose assembly (2) and hose (3) .

Disconnect tube assembly (5) and bracket (6). Loosen clamp (7) and position tube assembly (5) out of the way.

Disconnect hose assembly (8). Remove valve assembly (9) and tube assembly (10) .
Disconnect hose assembly (11). Remove block (12) .

Attach a suitable lifting device onto oil cooler (13). The weight of oil cooler (13) is approximately 48 kg (105 lb).

Remove bolts (14) and bolts (15). Remove oil cooler (13) .

Remove bolts (16) bonnet (17), and gasket (18). Repeat this step for the opposite end.

Use a rod of 3 mm (0.125 inch) diameter in order to clean the oil cooler cores.Installation Procedure
Install oil cooler (13) in the reverse order of removal.Note: The gaskets are not reuseable. Install new gaskets.
