Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the engine side guards on the right side of the machine. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Side Guards - Remove and Install".
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery Disconnect Switch".

Remove guard (1). Loosen belt (2) and remove belt (2) from the alternator pulley. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belt - Inspect/Replace".

Disconnect cable assembly (4) and harness assembly (5) .
Disconnect ground strap (6) .
Remove bolts (3) and remove alternator (7) .Installation Procedure

Position alternator (7) and install bolts (3) .
Connect ground strap (6) .
Connect cable assembly (4) and harness assembly (5) .

Install belt (2) onto the alternator pulley and tighten belt (2). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belt - Inspect/Replace". Install guard (1) .
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery Disconnect Switch".End By: Install the engine side guards on the right side of the machine. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Side Guards - Remove and Install".
