Remove the floorplate.
Disconnect electrical connector (3) .
Loosen locknut (1). Turn torque converter output sensor (2) clockwise until the end of torque converter output sensor (2) contacts the gear tooth.
Turn torque converter output sensor (2) counterclockwise by 1/2 turn (180 degrees).Note: Do not allow torque converter output sensor (2) to turn when locknut (1) is tightened.
Tighten locknut (1) to a torque of 25 5 N m (18 4 lb ft).
Connect electrical connector (3) .
Install the floorplate.Procedure for Adjusting the Engine Speed Sensor

Remove the floorplate.
Disconnect electrical connector (4) .
Loosen locknut (6). Turn engine speed sensor (5) clockwise until the end of engine speed sensor (5) contacts the gear tooth.
Turn engine speed sensor (5) counterclockwise by 1/2 turn (180 degrees).Note: Do not allow engine speed sensor (5) to turn when locknut (6) is tightened.
Tighten locknut (6) to a torque of 25 5 N m (18 4 lb ft).
Connect electrical connector (4) .

Remove bolts (7) with washers (8) in order to remove cover (9) and gasket (10) .

Disconnect electrical connectors (11) and (12) .
Loosen locknuts (14) and (15). Turn transmission intermediate speed sensors (13) and (16) clockwise until the end of transmission intermediate speed sensors (13) and (16) contacts the ring gear tooth.
Turn transmission intermediate speed sensors (13) and (16) counterclockwise by 1/2 turn (180 degrees).Note: Do not allow transmission intermediate speed sensors (13) and (16) to turn when locknuts (14) and (15) are tightened.
Tighten locknut (14) and (15) to a torque of 25 5 N m (18 4 lb ft).
Connect electrical connectors (12) and (11) .
Install gasket (10) and cover (9) with washers (8) and bolts (7) .Procedure for Adjusting the Transmission Output Speed Sensors
