Multi-Torque uses a gear-based multi-torque strategy with three different operating modes to deliver maximum horsepower appropriate to each transmission gear. Refer to Tables 2 and 3.
In the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (Cat® ET) Service Tool "Configuration" screen, select the rating type "Multi-Torque".
Based on transmission serial number and gear, the engine software will automatically select the proper rating for maximum power.Dual Horsepower Instructions
Dual Horsepower uses a single torque map for all transmission gears to reduce maximum horsepower in all direct drive gears. Refer to Tables 2 and 3.
In the Cat ET "Configuration" screen, select the rating type "Dual Horsepower".
Based on the transmission serial number, the engine software will automatically select the proper rating.
