Inspection points for the walk-around inspection (A) Left steering cylinder (B) Frame (C) Left front tire (D) Front lights (E) Bucket and linkage (F) Right front tire (G) Steering frame lock (H) Right steering cylinder (I) Power train (J) Hydraulic tank (K) Window washer reservoir (L) Right rear tire (M) Engine (N) Automatic lubrication reservoir (O) Fuel tank (P) Ground level controls (Q) Radiator (R) Rear lights (S) Air cleaner (T) Left rear tire (U) Windows (A) Inspect the left steering cylinder. Look for leaks, cracking, or marks on the chrome. Inspect the articulating hitch.

(B) Inspect front frame (2) and rear frame (1). Check for cracks or damage. (C) Inspect the left front tire. Check the tire inflation. Make sure that you check the inside of the tire for damage or for wear. Inspect the tire treads for damage. Remove large rocks from the treads. Check the wheel for bolts that are loose or missing.Note: Rust behind a bolt may indicate that the bolt is loose. Shiny metal areas around a bolt may indicate that the bolt is loose. (D) Inspect the front operating lights for damage. (E) Inspect the bucket and linkage for damage or for excessive wear. (F) Repeat procedure (C) for the right front tire. (G) Check that the steering frame lock is not installed. The machine will not steer if the steering frame lock is installed. (H) Repeat procedure (A) for the right steering cylinder.

(I) Inspect the power train. Check the transmission oil level in sight gauge (3). Check for leaks from the torque converter and from the transmission. (J) Inspect the hydraulic tank. Check the oil level in the hydraulic tank in sight gauge (4). Inspect the tank for leaks or for damage. Make sure that the filler cap is installed. (K) Check the level in the window washer fluid reservoir. (L) Repeat procedure (C) for the right rear tire.

(M) Inspect the engine. Use dipstick (5) to check the oil level in the sump of the engine. Check for oil leaks and coolant leaks. (N) Inspect automatic lubricant reservoir (6) for leaks. (O) Inspect the fuel tank. Make sure that the filler cap is installed correctly. Look for any leaks or damage to the fuel tank. (P) Inspect the ground level controls. Make sure that the engine shutdown switch and the battery disconnect switch are in the ON position. (Q) Check the coolant level in the radiator sight gauge. Inspect the radiator. Check for leaks. Remove any debris that could block the air flow. (R) Inspect the rear lights for damage.

(S) Inspect air cleaner (7). Remove debris that may obstruct the air cleaner. (T) Repeat procedure (C) for the left rear tire. (U) Make sure that all of the windows are clean. Make sure that the operators vision is not impaired by dust, mud, or other foreign materials.Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Service Inspection" for further information.
