6 1 212-8180 Pump Drive Shaft As Before pressing the impeller on the shaft, lubricate the shaft with clean engine oil.
The end of the pump shaft must be flush with the face of the impeller within 0.15 mm ( 0.006 inch).
Diameter of the shaft for the impeller is 25.400 to 25.413 mm (1.0000 to 1.0005 inch).
Width in the groove of the shaft for the thrust washer is 8.75 0.05 mm (0.344 0.002 inch).
B - - Bore of the 212-8184 Impeller is 25.342 0.013 mm (0.9977 0.0005 inch).
7 1 7N-4758 Thrust Washer Thickness is 8.5 mm (0.33 inch)
8 1 416-0603 Seal Gp Use the following procedure to install the seal group.
1. Lubricate the outside diameter of the ceramic ring and rubber seal with clean water or with P80 lubricant.
2. Use installation tool and hand pressure to seat the ceramic ring and the rubber seal into the housing.
3. Use installation tool and press the seal assembly to 10.78 kN (2423.45 lb).
4. Remove the clips after installation.
9 1 9S-4183 Plug Torque to 100 10 N m (74 7 lb ft).
10 1 3D-2824 O-Ring Seal Lubricate the bore lightly with glycerine or equivalent.
D - - Distance between the vanes of the impeller and the outside of the housing is 31.58 mm (1.243 inch).
