3 1 7C-1897 Speed Sensor Gp Use the following procedure to tighten the engine speed sensor:
1. Before assembly, apply white Loctite 594 to threads.
2. Install the engine speed sensor into the 5/8 threaded hole and turn until the magnetic core contact with a tooth of the flywheel ring gear.
3. Back out 180 degrees and tighten the locknut.
4. Tighten the locknut to 45 7 N m (33 5 lb ft).
5. The clearance between the engine speed sensor and the flywheel ring gear is 0.56 to 0.84 mm (0.022 to 0.033 inch).
4 4 1W-0104 Hollow Dowel Extension (F) after installation is 10.00 1.00 mm (0.394 0.039 inch).
5 4 1W-0104 Hollow Dowel Extension (H) after installation is 4.00 1.00 mm (0.157 0.039 inch).
6 4 7N-2043 Dowel Extension (G) after installation is 6.00 0.50 mm (0.236 0.020 inch).
7 1 8L-2786 O-Ring Seal Before assembly, lightly lubricate the bore with engine oil.
8 1 6V-3833 O-Ring Seal Before assembly, lightly lubricate the bore with engine oil.
9 1 3P-0655 O-Ring Seal Before assembly, lightly lubricate the bore with engine oil.
