System Input/Output Cabinet AC Power Wiring Connections
The SIO cabinet accommodates wiring connections per NEC and IEC.Each phase bus can accept up to four standard NEMA 2-hole lugs per side. The neutral bus has 1.5 times this capacity.Dual input 60-Hz systems require a 5 inch crown box to satisfy UL minimum width gutter and wire-bending space requirements. All of the conductors listed above must meet that requirement.Note: Populate conductors by beginning from the left-most side of the SIO cabinet top entry panel and working your way to the right.Cable and the lugs for external power connections are not supplied.The Three-Phase AC Input Cables and the Three-Phase AC Output Cables are connected to a tin-plated copper bus bar. The bus bar is drilled and tapped for 13 mm (0.5 inch) bolts. The holes are spaced for the following components: long barrel lugs with one hole and long barrel lugs with two holes.The ground cable is connected to a plated copper bus bar. The bus bar is drilled for 13 mm (0.5 inch) hardware. The holes are spaced for one or two hole NEMA long barrel lugs.Note: Bending radius space limitations require the use of smaller parallel cables. The smaller cables reduce the risk of damage to the unit when the cable is pulled.Recommended torque is 120 N m (88.51lb ft).The following overview presents the correct installation for the FPU to SIO Cabinet Power Wiring Connections. SIO and FPU AC output cable connectors
(1) ABC phase inductor 4/0 cables from FPU cabinet
(2) ABC phase inductor 4/0 cables from SIO cabinet
CAUTION: Ensure that clockwise phase rotation is maintained at all times.Connect the power cables between the FPU and SIO cabinets, based on the following procedure:
Route the cables from the inverters located in the FPU through the Current Transfer (reference Illustration 1), and along the front of the FPU. Cables exit to the left as you face the FPU cabinet.
Extend the cables down to the inductors at the bottom right of the SIO cabinet, as you face the SIO cabinet (reference Illustration 1).
Connect the cables to the front inductor in an A - B - C configuration, front to back.Note: Use a 3-pole device only on the input supply to the UPS.

(1) From Flywheel
