Schematic of the Action Lamp
This diagnostic code is recorded when the VIMS ECM reads the voltage of the action lamp (wire 411-PK(Pink)) and the voltage is above normal. There is a possible short to the +battery circuit. System Response:This failure will cause the action lamp to be ON CONTINUOUSLY. Test Step 1. CHECK OF THE LAMP CIRCUIT
Turn the disconnect switch and the key start switch to the OFF position.
Disconnect the machine harness connector J1 from the ECM.
Turn the disconnect switch to the ON position.
Observe the action lamp.
Turn the key start switch to the ON position. Expected Result:The action lamp is OFF. Results:
OK - The action lamp is OFF. Repair: The ECM has failed. It is unlikely that the ECM has failed. Exit this procedure and perform this procedure again. If the failure is not found, replace the ECM. See the Testing and Adjusting, "Module - Replace" section of this manual. STOP
NOT OK - The action lamp is ON. Repair: The harness circuit (wire 411-PK(Pink)) is shorted to the +battery circuit. Repair the machine harness or replace the machine harness. STOP
