This diagnostic code is recorded when the VIMS electronic control module reads the current of the red payload lamp circuit (wire 635-BU(Blue)) and the current is below normal. The red payload lamp does not light when this failure is present.Test Step 1. CHECK THE RED PAYLOAD LAMP.
Turn the disconnect switch and the key start switch to the OFF position.
Replace the red payload lamp with a known working lamp.
Turn the disconnect switch and the key start switch to the ON position.
Verify that the diagnostic code CID 0825 FMI 05 is no longer present. Expected Result:The diagnostic code CID 0825 FMI 05 is no longer present.Results:
OK - The diagnostic code CID 0825 FMI 05 is no longer present. The lamp was open.Repair: Replace the red payload lamp.STOP
NOT OK - The diagnostic code CID 0825 FMI 05 is still active. The action lamp is not causing the fault. Proceed to test step 2.Test Step 2. CHECK THE MACHINE HARNESS.
Turn the key start switch and the disconnect switch to the OFF position.
Disconnect the machine harness connector J1 from the VIMS ECM.
Measure the resistance between contact J1-48 (wire 635-BU(Blue)) and contact J1-49 (wire J841-YL(Yellow)) of the machine harness connector. Expected Result:The resistance is approximately 50 ohms.Results:
OK - The resistance is approximately 50 ohms. The harness is correct. The VIMS ECM has failed.Repair: It is unlikely that the ECM has failed. Exit this procedure and perform this procedure again. If no fault is found, replace the ECM. Refer to the Testing and Adjusting, "Module - Replace" section.STOP
NOT OK - The resistance is greater than 5000 ohms. The harness circuit is open. Repair: Check the signal circuit and the return circuit. Repair the machine harness or replace the machine harness.STOP
