Assembly Procedure
Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement. Lubricate the O-ring seals with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Position the O-ring seal and cover (13) to body (2). Install the washers and two bolts (12) that secure cover (13) to body (2).

Install poppet (11), spring (10), retainer (9) and retaining ring (8) into spool valve (7).

Install spool valve (7), spacers (6) and spring (5) to body (2).

Position the O-ring seal and cover (4) to body (2). Install the washers and two bolts (3) that secure cover (4) to body (2).

Install two O-ring seals (1) to body (2).
Adjust the torque converter relief valve. Refer to Specifications, RENR1486 for the correct procedure to adjust the torque converter relief valve. End By:
Install the relief valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Relief Valve (Torque Converter Oulet) - Install".
