Description of Change: The new software provides the following additional features:
The programmable fuel correction factor, similar to the feature used with 3500 Engines, enables more accurate observation of fuel consumption. Programming the configuration parameter requires the use of Cat® Electronic Technician (ET) Software, 2012B or a newer version.
Improved start/stop strategy that increases the reliability of start-ups
Properly display the codes listed in Table 1
Improved RPM stability during secondary ECM controlAdaptable To: The new 434-0845 Engine Ratings Electronic Software Gp is used for the primary ECM. The new 434-0846 Engine Ratings Electronic Software Gp is used for the secondary ECM.Both software groups are adaptable back to first production of the engines listed above. Note: Because flash files are subject to change without announcement, more recent software may be available for your engine. Download the most recent software in order to flash your engine ECM.
