Certain 8N6862, 8N6863, 7E2867, and 7E2868 Water Seals used in the 3500 Family of Engines need to be removed from parts stock and from gasket kits in parts stock if they are colored white and/or orange. New water seals of the same part number are colored gray.
Action Required
Remove all 8N6862, 8N6863, 7E2867, and 7E2868 Seals from parts stock and from gasket kits (Dated 5-92 or earlier) in parts stock if they are colored white and/or orange. New water seals of the same part number are colored gray.
Service Claim Allowances
Submit one claim for all 8N6862, 8N6863, 7E2867, and 7E2868 Seals from parts stock and from gasket kits in parts stock.
Parts Disposition
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
