Position suitable cribbing under the rod eye of tilt cylinder (1). Remove bolt (2).
Attach Tooling (A) to pin assembly (3). Use a suitable lifting device to support the weight of Tooling (A). The weight of Tooling (A) is approximately 136 kg (300 lb).
Slowly retract pin (3) until there is enough clearance to reposition lifting straps as shown in illustration 2.

Position suitable cribbing under tilt cylinder (1). Attach a suitable lifting device to tilt cylinder (1). The weight of tilt cylinder (1) is approximately 204 kg (450 lb). Retract tilt cylinder (1).
Release the hydraulic system pressure.

Disconnect hose assemblies (4) and (5).

Disconnect tube assembly (6). Remove elbow (7).

Attach a suitable lifting device to tilt cylinder assembly (1).

Position suitable cribbing under Tooling (B). Use Tooling (B) to remove pin assembly (9). Use a suitable lifting device to remove tilt cylinder (1).Disassembly and Assembly Information

Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.

(5) Apply Tooling (C) to the seal groove prior to assembly.Installation Procedure
Install tilt cylinder (1) in the reverse order of removal.
Use Tooling (E) to install pins (3) and (9).
