8B-7560 Step Plate     1    Note: Be sure that all of the parts of the traction control valve are thoroughly clean prior to assembly. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. All assembly procedures must be performed on a clean work surface and in a clean area. During the assembly of the traction control valve, lubricate all of the parts with clean hydraulic oil. Note: O-rings, gaskets and seals should always be replaced. A used O-ring may not have the same sealing properties as a new O-ring. A reconditioning procedure should not be degraded because of a low cost component such as an O-ring or a gasket. Use 1U-6396 O-Ring Assembly Compound during the assembly procedure.
Make sure that all components of the traction control valve are thoroughly clean prior to assembly.

Install O-ring (29) and O-ring (28) .
Install O-ring (27) and two backup rings (26) .
Install O-ring (25) and two backup rings (24) .

Install two relief valves (23) in the valve body.

Install O-ring seal (22) on plug (20) .
Install drive (21), valve (17), sleeve (18), spring (19), and plug (20) in valve body (10) .

Install O-ring seal (13) on plug (12) .
Install stem (16), sleeve (15), spring (14) and plug (12) in valve body (10) .

Note: Prior to installation, thoroughly clean the outer surface of the spool assembly (11) .
Install spool assembly (11) in the valve body (10) .
Install seats (9), springs (8), and plungers (9) in the valve body.

Install two socket head bolts (5) in cover (6) .
Place cover (6) over plunger (7), and install Tooling (A), as shown. Make sure that cover (6) is square with the valve body by measuring dimension (X) on both sides of the cover.
Compress cover (6) with Tooling (A), while you keep dimension (X) equal on each side of the cover. Continue to compress until the cover makes contact with the valve body. Tighten two socket head bolts (5) .
Remove Tooling (A) from the traction control valve. Install the other two socket head bolts (5) .
Repeat Step 12 through Step 15 in order to install the opposite cover (6) .

Install O-ring (4) on each plug. Install two plugs (3) in the valve body.
