GASKET KIT 8C6553 - Caterpillar

Attach a suitable lifting device onto pump (6). The weight of pump (6) is approximately 160 kg (350 lb). Remove bolts (7). Position pump (6) onto suitable blocking.

Turn valve (8) to the off position. Disconnect hose assembly (9) and hose assembly (10) .

Disconnect cable assembly (11). Disconnect harness assembly (12) .
Remove the refrigerant compressor belt. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belt - Inspect/Adjust/Replace".
Remove the alternator belt. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belt - Inspect/Adjust/Replace".

Remove hose (11). Disconnect harness assembly (12). Remove tube (13). Remove bolts (14) and position refrigerant compressor (15) out of the way.

Remove fan guard (16). Remove alternator guard (17) .

Remove bolts (18) and position bracket assembly (19) out of the way.

Remove clip (20). Disconnect cable assembly (21) .

Disconnect harness assembly (22). Disconnect harness assemblies (23) .

Disconnect hose (24). Disconnect hose (25) .

Disconnect hose (26). Disconnect hose (27). Remove clip (28) .

Disconnect harness assemblies (32), (33), and (34). Remove the connecting hardware.

Attach a suitable lifting device to engine (35). The weight of engine (35) is approximately 544 kg (1200 lb).
Remove the front engine mounts. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Front Mount - Remove and Install".
Remove the rear engine mounts. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Rear Mount - Remove and Install".
Remove engine (35) .
