For new installations and engines that are recently rebuilt, carefully monitor the engine to detect any unusual engine performance.After all systems are stabilized and normal, the engine rpm can be increased from low idle rpm to rated rpm.Applying some load may be necessary to attain normal operating temperatures.Check coolant pressure with engine running and ensure that the pressure is not more than 370 kPa (53.6 psi)Engaging the Driven Equipment
Increase the engine speed to rated rpm.
Ensure that the operating parameters are in the normal ranges for the engine load.
If parallel to utility, synchronize and close the main circuit breaker to apply the load.For the procedure to load the engine, refer to the applicable Special Instruction , "Installation and Initial Start-Up Procedure for G3500H Engines" manual.
